So my daughter is turning 13 and she loves makeup and clothes like most teenagers! So I decided to make her a vanity to play dress up, do her hair etc.
Now as you will soon come to realize, I hate spending huge amounts of money on one purchase, especially when it is something I can probably make myself..
This vanity while beautiful , cost $399! and doesn't even come with a table! Too much for my taste.. so I decided to tackle this project myself!

I had already taken off the top pieces because my TV didnt fit and had them laying around...just random pieces of wood.. i put different pieces together and realized I could make a "frame" out of the old pieces ...
I headed to Ikea to get a mirror to put inside the frame, a light strip and a shelf for the table
So far my total is at about $72 bucks..now to put together ...
I added the legs to the shelf to give it additional support ..mounted the mirror on the wall.. see my helpers (sister and nephew)
Then I put up the frame I made from my old entertainment center parts.. coming together!!!
So far so good.. now I just have to mount the vanity light strip (and hard wire it.. that's where my handy dandy fiance comes in :-)
Stay tuned guys :-)
